Putting down a new pond liner over the old?
i’ve had a pond down for around 5-6 years (from before home owners) that’s 16 x 16 and 2 Feet deep. The liner was simply a PVC 20 mil liner and it is at this time ripped and probable well over it’s warrantied life. i’ve purchased a new pond liner that’s 45 mil and at this time wondering… do i actually NEED to throw away the additional money for the underlayment or can i simply leave in my old pond liner down after clean-up and lay my new thicker liner over it? It has two rips on the sides. Will this be as good as underlayment? I would suppose so however i’m not certain! (BTW, the rips were caused by the neighbors dogs taking a swim in it and next climbing out on the parties causing the rips…they are at this time finally directed and controlled!)

I am a master gardener and do not know much about this, but. . . only if any dogs come to her, find some way to cover the edges with heavy stones so if you get back, they can leave without doing damage. Some people use good-sized stone flag and have the projection parts of the pool for a couple of pulgadas. No know what the subfloor you already have, but if it were me, if it seems to have worked well, I would put the new superior.Creo that the protection of the shore is the key. You can stack small stones on top of the flat slab that you want to create the look deseado.Cuida your back!
Hi ~ You must find old carpet on the side of the road and lay someone is pulling in the largest coating and then on top of that new shirt. Free!
Do not waste your money on the subfloor are sold in stores, its useless. As the old coating had no punctures in it for anything other than the dogs, then you should be fine. Make sure plastic surgery on torn edges so no sharp edges are semi against new line. Then clean, remove any organic material and rocks it, then just put the new shirt at the top of the old. The declaration of a prevoius on the carpet was both good and bad. (Along the roadside, that gross). Always use carpet for our base layers, but we got on the carpet shops. You can buy the remains very cheap or even leave you some of their garbage containers is the remnant of the facilities. But I do not think you even need that. I think you answered your own question and just put the new over the old.
Thanks for the comments. I had the equal questions and found this article extremely helpful. i’m looking to modify the pond thats the preceding home owners left behind and actually don’t know what I’m doing. Thanks for the assist!
